Appeal from a decision of the Unemployment Insurance Appeal Board finding that claimant was disqualified from receiving unemployment insurance benefits because he left his employment without good cause. Claimant worked in New York City until the Summer of 1966 when he returned to Puerto Rico to stay with his aged mother. Claimant's mother, who has been ill for some time, lives in the same house as his sister and claimant had returned to Puerto Rico the year before under similar circumstances. The board found that the condition of claimant's mother was not critical and that his sister was available to give her normal care. The board concluded that claimant left his employment for reasons of personal preference and not compelling necessity disqualifying him. What constitutes ""good cause"" under subdivision 1 of section 593 of the Labor Law is a factual question for the board. Disposition Decision affirmed, without costs.
